Hello my magical friends and welcome to the latest installment of the Psychedelic Neurolinguistic Astrology Salon. On this episode I get into all of the sacred stories and mythos behind the astrological planetary ruler of Mercury. Due to my personal lens as it comes to Astrology, namely the Neurolinguistic side of it, the focus of the presentation are the stories surrounding the cosmic luminary.
Mercury is the fastest planet in our solar system, which is likely why this planet is associated with speed. Taking this a step further, Mercury’s domains in astrology are mental in nature and considers the idea of the “speed of thought”. The stories that I speak of in this episode are:
Mercury as Hermes
Mercury as Thoth
Sailor Mercury
Within each of these stories are commonalities and themes behind our understanding of Mercury as a planetary ruler. After all, each of us has a Mercury placement in our birth chart. That Mercury placement can speak much to how you think, how you process and what your mental state is likely to be influenced by.
Mercury retrograde from a Neurolinguistic Astrology perspective to me would be that it would be a good time to have a focus on inner conversation and dialogue as opposed to external conversation. Not to say avoid it, but it is just a matter to have care and awareness of the ebbs and flows of the cycles that we find ourself in.
