Character Inspirations in Story: A Cosmic Conversation
Episode 6 of the Truth Beauty Freedom & Love Show are all about Character Inspirations
As I have been writing the Dragon Warriors Saga and really fleshing out the characters; we can think about the inspirational characters that currently exist as a way to have foundation for where these archetypal energy signatures grow from. In the latest and greatest (and quite long hehe) episode of the Truth Beauty Freedom & Love Show I have my beautiful guest Aarti Aria with me and we are talking all about our TOP 5 Character Inspirations.
I won’t spoil the count down, but we start with 5 and make our way to 1. I will however take this time to talk a little bit about my number 5 pick because I have just completed some training as her in Gotham Knights. Yes, that’s right I am talking about miss Batgirl. Batgirl actually was a character in the past who kind of annoyed me, but I learned to appreciate and then respect and love her as a character.
Aarti said it when we can find lessons within the characters that annoy us or we dislike in the beginning of getting to know them. The things that annoy us in those characters are perhaps characteristics and aspects within us that require looking at and even integration! I can think of many wonderful character arcs of friendships between characters that initially dislike each other and then over time learn to respect and even become incredibly close friends.
We can take the inspirations from the characters that we find endearing in our favorite stories to assist us as we play our own game of life. When it comes to Batgirl, I am not sure why she annoyed me but she did. Perhaps it is because I had a big crush on Dick Grayson’s Robin and I viewed Batgirl as some sort of competition in my dreams. Unbeknownst to me, just like how Norma Jean created Marilyn Monroe - Barbara Gordon created Batgirl. Eventually, when Batgirl becomes Oracle she has the mantle of Batgirl is taken up by others.
This distinction is a great way to look at the personas we play in our own lives. Who gets to see your most secret of identities? And what type of persona do you wish to project to the world that we live in? We have much more sovereignty over these things than we think - and I have also found astrology to be wonderful way to be the observer and see how these more cosmic storylines may impact our own lives.
Hope you have a wonderful Monday Moonday Magical friends!
